Book more clients with your website by prioritizing your goals
Want to book more clients with your website? Then you need to get really really clear on your website’s goals so you can stop confusing your viewers!
You might be thinking, “Ashton, I already have a ton of goals for my website!” I bet you do, and that’s amazing! But, we have to PRIORITIZE your website’s goals to make sure that you’re seeing results. The last thing we want to do is drive away ideal clients because your website is confusing.
Here are 3 questions that will help you book more clients with your website
Grab a piece of paper, and write down your answers!
What is the main goal of your website?
There may be more than one goal, but I want you to think about the ultimate goal of your website. Is it to sell your products or services? Or maybe you want to grow your following, promote awareness for a cause, etc.
What action do you want visitors to take before they leave your website?
This can be opting into your mailing list, following you on Instagram, filling out your contact form, etc. Think about how you prefer your viewers to stay in touch with you if they are not quite ready to make a purchase. This is a good way to build a more long term relationship with your viewer (read more about how to trust on your website here.)
What steps do you want visitors to take to reach your ultimate goal?
Everything on your website should support your main goal, but visitors won’t always land on a page and immediately take an action—they may need to read a blog post, opt-in to your email list, check out your portfolio, or discover your services first. What are some different paths visitors could take to reach the end goal?
These questions will help you in planning out a strategic flow for your website. We want to prioritize our goals and simplify the viewer’s journey so that our website is easy to understand and navigate.
If we design our website like every single action is the top priority, our viewers will get confused and a confused viewer always says no.
